Thursday, May 1, 2008 //Dinner with Ivan + Brewerks |
|
Nothing special today. Went out for a swim but to only end it 30 minutes later as the sky was getting dark and find it pointless to continue swimming. (Main purpose is to get tan :P) Went back home to check some email and then its time to go out and meet Ivan, my ex sergeant for dinner. We agreed to meet at 7pm at Marina Square and it was part of his plans to give me a treat.. or else he won't want to meet me.. so LL lo.. then I managed to get Small William and CQ along (although CQ keep saying he has to study... HE IS ACTUALLY STUDYING ONE CHAPTER A DAY...zzz). We went to a few places after dinner.. first was to some hawailian cafeteria where Small William grabbed a bite of sandwiches. After that we went club / pub hunting and the first stop was Timber... but hiak hiak the crowd was just too crazy so we drove to Clark Quay instead. Went to a few places and ended up at Brewerks.. (too bad I didn't wear proper shoes and etc else we can go to those clubs like Lunar or MoS)
Heard from one of my class mates that my Program Manager is leaving and so I left her an email asking her if its true and if its because we are too difficult to handle. She replied my email saying that its true... and that though we may seem to be difficult to handle, she know why we are reacting that way. That causes me to write an email to her as well to perhaps let her know why we are reacting that way since she is leaving anyway.
The details of the email is as follows:
Hi, Thanks for replying and I'm sorry to know that you're leaving. Though the amount of contact time is little, It has been great knowing you as well and do keep in touch with us if possible.
Well, since you will be going off, I guess I can share with you the reason why we have been difficult.. or rather why I feel we are being difficult here. In actual fact, we aren't trying to be difficult to anyone at all in the first place. You know, I enrolled to the school because I was very impressed with the quality of service provided back then by Michelle and her team. I was impressed with the facilities and the promises made by the school during the orientation / introduction but somehow I guessed the school didn't leave up to the promises made to us and didn't deliver them accordingly, which places us in a very difficult situation after the term starts. I am actually a very easy to get along person (the lecturers sure get guarantee that :P) and would definitely not want to be in a situation of trying to be difficult all the time, but if you can understand, there are some stuffs from the school that we felt should be done and not done (though given the feedback several times) and I don't think it should be us (the students) who are taking the initative to constantly push and push for the things to be done when it should be done (by the school) in the first place. I believe there are some things that you can see for yourself here that things would have been better if they had been properly done. Anyway, I would not want to spoil your days further with my long and lengthy email. I thank you once again for the efforts taken in trying to assist my class mates and I in whichever way you can. Good luck to you in your future endeavours and take care! Regards Terence
Yeah and so that was my email to her. I would like those people out there in the school to know why we reacting this way. Is there a need for us to treat the school this way to get things done? I don't believe so but somehow they had forced us to go through the hard way to get things done. I would definitely want PEACE but sigh.. its a neverending thing if its only one side that is clapping. |
